Bug Description

I am running Openshot 1.3.1
I am on Ubuntu 10.04
installation was through Ubuntu software center. I've tried reinstalling through synaptic.
I have a project I am working on. It loads the project just fine. I can play the video just fine but when I try and add more clips, Everything goes haywire. If I try and do anything besides save the project, it force closes. I can't even add a video clip to the timeline and see how it looks before testing it. It's very annoying to have to make one tiny change. save it. close it. and open it just to see the results of the change. I can't even slide a video clip along the timeline without it force closing. If it is anything besides pressing play, pause or sliding the scroll bar for the timeline. it force closes. This is way worse then Windows Movie Maker because I can't even upgrade the program. I've downloaded the debug thing from https://answers.launchpad.net/openshot/+faq/1032 yet step 2 fails to produce any results. it says that there is no such file. I'm about ready to rip out my hair with how frustrating this program is. Is this really the best video editing program for Linux??

It would be more helpful to copy and paste the output of the debug file, then we might stand a chance of working out what is wrong with your installation.

I've tried to get a debug file but no dice. I've solved my problem though with a forced downgrade using synaptic. sorry for wasting your time with this.
