Bug Description

Due to some incompatibilities between a mysql 5.0 server and a mysql 5.1 server, the only way to migrate data from an old Mysql server is to first install the 5.0 server and then upgrade it to 5.1. I therefore installed 5.0 first from a .deb file created with Alien (from an RPM obtained from the Mysql website, since there is no way to downgrade mysql to 5.0 using apt-get... the 5.0 package is not available). After I got the data ready, I upgraded the server to 5.1.
