[backportpackage] fails on oneiric with UNKNOWN_MIRROR error

I use the backportpackage tool to push versions of packages for the current development release to PPA's for testing.

Works fine on natty (backporting for oneiric) - however running the same command in oneiric generates the following error message:

That's bug #801945 - a nasty regression.
