Bug Description

GTG does not preserve the order of subtasks and sort them alphabetically. Also, user should be able to rearrange the order of tasks by Drag'n'Drop.

Original title: Order of tasks in "export and print" printout is different to on screen
Original description:
I love GtG, but when I print my tasks out using the "export and print" plugin, the tasks are alphabetically re-ordered, which is incvonvenient for me, as I order them in a specific order in GtG.

Thanks for the hard work!

Hi Morgan,

I tried to reproduce the behavior you reported but I couldn't. Which template do you use? Are the exported tasks in the same order as they are in the window?

Thanks for the further info.

Hi Izidor,

Thanks for the quick response!

I'm using the HTML template.

I should elaborate on my comment: as well as the exported list, the main collapsible tasks list also alphabetises tasks and subtasks. However, if I open a task in a separate window, the subtasks are listed in the order I typed them (along with non-hyperlinked textual notes). Maybe it's a "feature" to alphabetise all levels of tasks and subtasks in the main window, and when exporting tasks? Personally, it'd make more sense to list them in the same order that they were typed in the individual subtask windows.

Hope that makes sense.

Thanks!

-Morgan

Hi,

I tried to replicate the bug but it seems to have been already resolved, both exporting txt and html templates. Couldn't generate the pdf format, though.

There's a ticket upstream about this.
