Link to Launchpad bugs from the changelog

Binary package hint: update-manager

In Feisty, the Software Updates page lets you see a list of changes, extracted from the changelog.Debian.gz.

This is a request to link all (LP: #123456) style text into a link that opens the browser to https://launchpad.net/bugs/123456. This is in the same style as recommended by the https://blueprints.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+spec/changelog-closes-bugs specification.

The reason for this is so that people browsing the changelog can find more information about why they are upgrading, without having to know how to find a bug inside Launchpad.

This sounds like a duplicate of bug #39462 .

I have a feeling this has been implemented. At the very least the update manager in Hardy (1:0.87.30) implements this and CVE linking too.

if the change log does not appear in the update manager there is a link to change log @launchpad

Marking as fix released as this was implemented in update manager 0.57
