Some applications don't show up in Unity 2D launcher

At a minimum, we need:
1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem,
2. the behavior you expected, and
3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).

Please execute the following command, as it will automatically gather debugging information, in a terminal:
apport-collect 811445

apport-collect 811445

Thanks for the detailed bug report Rom.

Puddletag's not appearing in the launcher has been fixed in more recent versions of Unity 2D. You can install them using the daily PPA: https://launchpad.net/~unity-2d-team/+archive/unity-2d-daily

As for Cross over Linux applications, it might be worth looking at bug #702452
Do you think you could try with the latest version of Unity 2D from the PPA and report back here? It would be great also to see how it behaves in Ubuntu Oneiric.
