Bug Description

Maybe it is a good idea to change the position and order of buttons in window
title bar.

Why? It's avoid to mistake and click *close* instead of *maximize* or *minimize*

Pro: Increase accessibility for people who have difficulty to click on small
items (from tired peoples to handicapped)

Cons: Change standard behavior inherited from others WM and OS

Other solution:
* Confirmation on close
Applications must have close confirmation only when necessary (unsaved work
for example) but
  - not all application have this behavior
  - a button mistake may still append and the user has to *cancel* in the
confirmation dialog, launch again the application if no confirmation)

Proposed solutions:
1 - Place the *close* button on the left side and other buttons on the right side.
2 - Place buttons on the right but with a large space between *close* and others.

sorry for the long reply, this bug was assigned to nobody in bugzilla and I've
just found it while looking on the metacity bugs.

The buttons size and order are a part of the metacity theme. Which theme are you
using, what do you want to get changed in the order ?

Err. In fact, I just want a small space between the "maximize" and the "close"
button. It will avoid many stupid mistakes.

that's depending of the theme. What metacity theme are you using ?

In Breezy there is a few pixels space between each of the buttons, is this enough?

Very related to bug #19549.

I think that this bug is still relevant in current Dapper artwork.
