Hello Mihai,

I have checked your issue But I am getting your point exactly.

Have you set your "Quantity Type" as a "Fixed" or "Variable" ?

Because if you set "Quantity Type" as a "Fixed" then it will produce fixed product qty of sub product doesn't matter how many product you will product in MO.

So would you please elaborate more information on this or provide the proper example.

Thanks and waiting for your reply!

It is not about sub_product, that was an example, my inspiration.

Is about the BOM of a finished product, where some raw material I need consumed in fixed qty.

Here is an ongoing forum discussion:
http://www.openerp.com/forum/post87407.html#p87407
also
http://www.openerp.com/forum/topic26354.html

So:

I want to have on a BOM:

Components:
product | qty | qty type | UOM | valid from | valid until
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cardboard 1000x1000 1 Variable PCE
Glue 1 Variable mg
Machine knife 1 Fixed PCE

Then on the subproduct form I would have product:
Machine knife 1 Fixed PCE

So the point is that there will be the "knife" participating in production, it's stock move would be recorded, but then put back into stock.

I hope I have cleared a bit my pint, if not, please ask more info.
Thanks!

I think this will not be a bug but a blueprint.

Example: Graphics industry. They need a plate with the model to print independently if they are going to print 1 unit or 2000 units or papers because the model is always the same for an order, but building the model has got a cost so it must be included on Bom.

Is that Mihai?

Yes Ana, can be seen that way.
Thanks for sharing your view.

Can be a blueprint, I say a bug because in this system I cannot select type of issue.

An ongoing discussion on the forum is here:

Thanks.
