More than 1000 suggestion appeared overnight in translations

In package evolution for natty 1379 new suggestions appeared overnight (on 2011-07-10/11) as can be seen here - https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/natty/+source/evolution/+pots/evolution/sl/+translate?show=new_suggestions

What is interesting is that all the strings are dated to 2010-05-19 and appear to be imported from upstream (Gnome) even though AFAIK strings aren't imported from upstream anymore.

Lastly I would be really happy if all suggestions can be approved as these are improvements compared to existing ones and manually approval requires a lot of clicking.

Robert, could you reconsider marking this bug as invalid?

The main subject is that 1000+ translation suggestions dated back a year ago appeared in the Evloution template, which could point to a bug in e.g. message sharing. I believe this should be investigated, rather than converted to a question.

The fact that Andrej is asking for help in mass approving the suggestion is secondary. I think we should find out the cause of this issue first.

Looking at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution/+publishinghistory, I can see that there was an upload in an older release (Lucid) that coincides with the date in which the issue was detected.

If this is the cause, it might have to do with bug 730610.

@david, @henninge - questions get investigated too, and there isn't
any immediate evidence of a new bug, but certainly it can be either.
