Problem description.
I'm using a Kogan E10-02 Netbook computer that has a built-in "VIA Technologies, Inc. VIA VNT-6656 [WiFi 802.11b/g USB Dongle]" (as described by lsusb).
The wireless driver was working in the earlier version of Ubuntu (Ubuntu Netbook Remix 9.10) that was running on the same laptop, but after upgrading to 11.04 this wireless device no longer connects to the access point (see the problem described by others here : http://
The module (vt6656_stage) loads automatically but attempting to join the WPA wireless network fails with the error :
AP deauthed me, reason=1.
Since this use to work with an earlier version of Ubuntu and others have reported a similar problem in the forums, I suspect this fault is the result of a bug and not user configuration error.
Regards,
Warren.
