Sun Java JRE is outdated and insecure

In the repo's, Sun Java JRE is now at version 6u24. Upstream, Oracle has issued version 6u26, which (among other fixes) contains security fixes: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/6u26releasenotes-401875.html

Oracle has issued 6u26 over a month ago. When will this critical new version be issued in the Ubuntu updates?

Sun Java is quite an important package and can not understand why it is so "bad" is maintained.

I think this is a very bad thing. This is a matter of security, and it should be treated as such! Because it could be a critical security issue, a quicker response would be nice (and the right thing to do!)

Security updates must have a quicker update then "normal" programs, and java is an inportend program on the internet !

Please sack the maintainer. Java is very important so security updates should be distributed asap.

Packages of sun-java6 will be removed from both Debian & Ubuntu.
