Nouveau system running "hot", laggy

Bug Description

After I removed NVidia driver and started using nouveau 3d in oneiric, system started to run very warm and became laggy in the interface interactions. CPU load isn't higher than normal.

On IRC it seemed that this was due to ubuntuone-syncdaemon continually dying and respawinng. Is that the case?

Yes, it seems the ubuntuone-syncdaemon was the problem.

Can ~/.cache/ubuntuone/log/ folder be archived and attached to the bug report? Please make the bug report private before that because that log may contain the names of the files on your local machine.

The timing of the bug suggests it could have been LP:807076 which is now fixed in zeitgeist.
