x-loader-omap4 is only present in Maverick, not in recent/current releases, and we don't tend to remove packages from old releases.

11:05 < infinity> hrw: Which means you have/had the package installed at one point, and now dpkg has gotten grumpy about the stanza...
11:06 < infinity> hrw: Perhaps worth filing a bug against dpkg for suddenly being irked by version numbers that it used to let slide.

11:06 < infinity> hrw: Yes, note the "had"... The stanza is in there because you used to have it installed, I assume.

I didn't even notice when you first pasted this in IRC that it's a warning, not an error. So, yeah, I don't suspect this is bug-worthy in dpkg either, it's just expected behaviour for it to yell about bad version numbers.

Cleaning out your crufty dpkg available file with "dpkg --forget-old-unavail" should make it stop whining.

(As noted on IRC, but for others stumbling on this, "dpkg --clear-avail" should make the warnings go away)
