I have the same issue in 11.04. When run from the command line, it gives the following error:

A workaround is to:

sudo aptitude install -R evolution-common

Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.

I have this bug in Linux Mint 11. The workaround suggested by Mark Lodato worked for me (Thanks!).
