Bug Description

I installed E17 from the universe repository but it does not automatically install the add-ons like enna, eyelight etc. They were separate in the list. When I tried to install enna, I got this message which attempted to remove E17 and a host of related files (refer to E17_1.png attached). It also wanted to remove most *-svn-06-* files and replace them with some *-svn-05-* files. To see what impact these changes will have on the system, I accepted and got the error message below:

Depends: libevas-svn-05-engines-x (>=0.9.9.063) but it is not installable
Depends: libecore-evas-svn-05 (>=0.9.9.063) but it is not installable
Depends: libecore-file-svn-05 (>=0.9.9.063) but it is not installable
Depends: libecore-input-svn-05 (>=0.9.9.063) but it is not installable
Depends: libecore-ipc-svn-05 (>=0.9.9.063) but it is not installable
Depends: libecore-svn-05 (>=0.9.9.063) but it is not installable
Depends: libecore-x-svn-05 (>=0.9.9.063) but it is not installable
Depends: libedbus-svn-05 (>=0.5.0.063) but it is not installable
Depends: libedje-svn-05 (>=0.9.92.063) but it is not installable
Depends: libeina-svn-05 (>=0.9.9.063) but it is not installable
Depends: libelementary-svn-05 (>=0.6.0.063) but it is not installable
Depends: libevas-svn-05 (>=0.9.9.063) but it is not installable
(refer to E17_2.png not attached but available)
With the E17 from the universe repository, there are no *-svn-05-* files available to install and in any case, svn-05 conflicts with -svn-06-*
I then realised that there were 2 other repositories - http://packages.enlightenment.org/ubuntu for Jaunty and Karmic.
When I enabled Karmic (I am on Maverick), I still got enna and a host of other E17 apps but when I tried to install enna, I got same request to remove E17 and a lot of files related to libecore-*-svn-06-* and libevas-*-svn-06 (refer to E17_1.png attached). To investigate further, I chose to accept this changes and got the error message:
enna:
Depends: libevas-svn-05-engines-x but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libecore-evas-svn-05 but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libecore-file-svn-05 but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libecore-input-svn-05 but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libecore-ipc-svn-05 but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libecore-svn-05 but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libecore-x-svn-05 but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libedbus-svn-05 but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libedje-svn-05 but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libeina-svn-05 but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libelementary-svn-05 but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libevas-svn-05 but it is not going to be installed
(which is similar to the initial error message with the exception that there are no version numbers attached to the files i.e. (>=0.9.9.063)).
In addition, I also got a request to upgrade (after enabling the Karmic repository) and when I attempted to do so, I got same request to remove E17 and E17-dbg and install E17-data (refer to E17_3.png not attached but available)
Surely the universe repository should not have such an inconsistency with enna and also the other add-ons should be available without having to enable a repository for karmic which then attempts to remove the main application E17 and also downgrade supporting files from 06 to 05.
E17 without the add-ons as it is available on the repositories is inadequate and may result in users attempting to install the add-ons from the E17 website and it is not a good idea to mix both as it will result in raised support requests for the forum members.
