make progressbar fill more of the default window size

Bug Description
The current default window size is MUCH larger than the space on either side of the progressbar (I'd have to guess around 130px on each side).
The progressbar should probably be made larger and/or the window smaller to fill up more of this space.

I fixed this by letting the progressbar expand, which means it gets as much space as the empty space next to it.
