Bug Description

The compose IME displays a bar that has, among other things, 3 colored circles for tweaking the options. Up until maverick, clicking on the first (light green) circle would switch the IME to pinyin mode, which has sequences such as i) -> i with a circumflex hat. The light green circle turned light blue (teal?) to acknowledge the transition.

In 11.04, clicking the circle doesn't do anything. I also tried using the right Shift key, as documented in http://code.google.com/p/ibus/wiki/TableReadme and it also didn't do anything. I was expecting a circle color change and, most importantly, being able to type the extra characters.

Thank you for your help!
