maybe the bug is also in a broken xorg driver, not only compiz. now is working fine, got the issue yesterday. overlay scrollbars are fine

Changed in overlay-scrollbar (Ubuntu):

The issue does not happen with metacity or mutter, it only happens with compiz, with or without unity enabled.

I'm off exams.

The problem is that we are doing shadow clipping in compiz in a rather
inefficient way which is causing a lot of CPU usage on some systems. I have
a branch which optimizes a lot of this, though I noticed from profiling that
we are still doing a lot in the wall plugin so I'm going to look there also.

I have very slow Ubuntu, I do use allot of Compiz plugins and 11.10 is unusable. scrolling and window dragging etc is too slow.
I use TwinView through proprietary Nvidia Drivers.
Gnome Shell I.e. with Mutter is much better
Has this been fixed?
