Bug Description

Binary package hint: gdm

Test case type: Ubuntu Feisty X86, Alternate CD. Changing login settings.

Image ID: http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/feisty/herd-2/feisty-alternate-i386.iso

Dowloaded and burned: feisty-desktop-i386.iso

Date of testing: 17.jan.2007

Md5sum confirmed: Yes.

Pass/Fail: Fail.
-----------------------------------------

I can't change the login settings using gdmsetup, this is from both the control center & the CLI.

When I issue 'gksudo gdmsetup' I'm asked for my password and then nothing happens, it just seems to wait indefinitely.

This happens at every attempt, on every login - no errors are ever logged, it just waits
