Bug Description
Somewhy the installer crash screen says to post a new bug instead of adding to an existing bug so I'm doing that although I know this is a duplicate.
The installer of Feisty Fawn Herd 2 crashed while reading the partitions. Maybe something to do with it is that I have 3 Samsung 160GB SATA Hard drives. Two of them are identical, but one is a newer model and was installed later and caused problems in disk ordering for both WinXP and previous Ubuntu release (6.10) -- hd0 in grub was no longer the same. It also might have been caused by my stupidity. But I digress...

You're quite right; this is a duplicate of bug 76976. It has nothing to do with the model of your disks or anything, but simply occurs whenever there's unpartitioned free space on any disk. Run 'sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get install ubiquity' from a terminal window before starting the installer to get the fix.
