unity sidebar does not operate on first try

whenever i click on the title bar menu at the top left and bring up the menu, 9 times out of ten it will bring up the panel and menu but nothing can be clicked on and trying to type in the search bar nothing happens, clicking on that search bar and then trying to type also the text does not appear, nothing happens. 99% of the time i have to open the unity menu 2 times, the first is error, the second it will operate.

Could you check if this is an issue with the latest versions of Unity? Install all updates on your system and then check if this is still an issue.
