Contacts sorted by its last name in list

Need to make possible to list contacts shows by the lastname in the begining. Just sorting by the lastname is not so useful for me, because i must know firstname of the contact. So when i'm finding the contact, first of all i'm looking to it's lastname like in example below:
Putin Vladimir Vladimirovich (where the 'Putin' goes first, and the firstname and middlename goes right after that).
This option available in some mobiles like HTC Sense or iPhone, and it makes visibility and usability much better.
So need to make in menu another one option like "Show by..." -> Firstname (default for now) , -> Lastname (what i mean in this post)

No. This are different situations. The bug in saving or loading preferences (as it described there) is not the same as showing list. In Russia where I'm living in, all people remember others by their surnames. So we prefer to see list in other way as others. It's like kilometes and miles. So my wish is just to make an option of showing surname on the first position of the every line in list.
