Bug Description
When a window is positioned so that it spreads across desktops, the unity launcher fails to bring it to view when clicking its icon.
To reproduce:
1. Open a window (can be any application) in a not-maximized state
2. Bring it to the bottom-right desktop
3. Drag it down so that it overlaps below the desktop (ie. the bottom of the window should appear in the top of the top-right desktop)
4. Switch back to the top-left desktop
5. Now click on the icon for that window in the launcher.
Expected: user should be "switched" desktops so that the window is in view
Obtained: window is active but not visible (since it is not in the current desktop).
I can reproduce this all the time, regardless of the application, or whether it is minimized or not.
Ubuntu 11.04 i386 all up-to-date, standard install
I can reproduce this reliably with an HP Elitebook 8540p, Ubuntu 11.04 up-to-date, standard install.
