Bug Description

Hi all,

There are a few problems with OpenLP and Ubuntu 11.04 (with Unity)
- The menubar on the left side (see Screenshot ) shows no icon.
- The menubar thinks that OpenLP is just some panels..
- When you try to maximize OpenLP. The menubar on the left side doesn't disapear. (This problem is not always)

Maikel, I am running Unity, how did you install OpenLP? I have the logo, I have however noticed that other applications not just OpenLP fail to auto hide. I think that is (I know its the blame game) more a Unity thing than an OpenLP thing.

I am currently using the "Classic Desktop" to run OpenLP in Ubuntu as Unity at the moment just is not stable enough for me for prime time use.

You're right.. The menubar is probably a unity bug,
But that there is no logo is weird.. Could that also be a Unity bug?
When i am in the classic version of ubuntu, i can see a logo (with a name of the program)..
With the unity menubar on the left side (the normal Ubuntu 11.04) i can't see them..

I am running OpenLP from the latest code

Maikel, I'm just guessing, but if you haven't installed OpenLP through the PPA Unity probably isn't going to pick up on the logo, I have it isntalled through the dev ppa.

Is this still an issue? If yes, is it only an issue when you run OpenLP from source?

Hi Andreas,

I just installed the newest version of Ubuntu (11.10) and tried to install the latest version of openlp (from the PPA and i try to run it from source)
But i can't open openlp. Almost the whole system hangs on openlp.

So i could not check if the bug above is still an issue.

Would you like to try this again, otherwise I am going to set this bug to "invalid". Maybe try to start OpenLP in debug mode and attach the debug log: wiki.openlp.org/Debug_Log
