Bug Description

I updated and rebooted an Oneiric i386 system (gnome-control-center 1:3.0.2-1ubuntu4, deja-dup 19.2.1-0ubuntu1) into a unity-2d session, and after a short time, I was asked if I wanted to configure backup settings. I clicked yes (actually I don't remember the wording of the dialog box), and a window labeled Backup with blank white contents came up, then closed after several seconds, and I was informed that gnome-control-center crashed with SIGSEGV in deja_dup_config_widget_set_from_config().

Subsequently, when I manually went to System Settings and click on Backup (under System), I was able to view and change backup settings in detail, and no crash occurred.

Thanks for your report.

I got this crash also yesterday but it seems to happen only once. Next run of the deja-dup capplet don't exhibit this crash.
Setting to triage/medium (crash but only once)

Thank you for your report!

However, processing it in order to get sufficient information for the
developers failed (it does not generate an useful symbolic stack trace). This
might be caused by some outdated packages which were installed on your system
