After choosing "Close session...", lightdm don't start, just wallpaper and mouse nothing else!

it doesn't restart the xserver on logout, maybe this is intentional but might also reveal issues in other parts of the system.

Confirmed and reproducable.
Logout via session menu button.
Only wallpaper is displayed, no lightdm or anything else.
Switch to tty and reboot.

Workaround after logout from session and just viewing desktop background.
Switch to tty ctrl+alt+f1
Login with username and passwd.
Run:
sudo restart lightdm
