Bug Description

When changing an environment from equation to equation*, the \'s before the \begin and \end commands are removes.

To reproduce: Enter EEQ -> expands to

    \begin{equation}

      \label{<++>}
    \end{equation}<++>

Then hit <S-F5> and select equation* (4). This changes the latex source to:

    begin{equation*}

    end{equation*}<++>

The leading \'s are removed. This is probably an upstream bug.
