Cannot not see more than one chat room in a tabbed conversation window

Binary package hint: empathy

I open my irc chats in a single window. Empathy once showed each room as a tab in the window. I can only see the first chat opened now (a tab that is the entire width of the window). I can see from the indicator messages that more than one opened, but I cannot navigate to them. Closing the chat window is unreliable, but maybe I am actually closing each room that I cannot see, so the widow closes only after I have closed all the room.

Yes I still do not see the topic for some rooms. #launchpad-dev reliably does not show one that I can see in xchat.

Connect to irc.freenode.net (setup an account if necessary)
Using the main menu: Rooms > Join > Choose freenode > enter #launchpad-dev
Verify the topic is visible and can be expanded.

I can also join the room from another freenode channel using /join #launchpad-dev

I am sorry but it seems to me what you mentioned in comment#3 is totally different from what you reported in the initial bug report. Or am I mis-understanding something, though the #launchp-dev not showing the topic issue is confirmed.
