Unity got stuck in scale mode for a single window

I attempted to use Unity's feature of dragging a text file onto the app's icon that accepts them, and Unity got stuck in single mode feature for a window. Switching to other windows via the launcher had no effect, pressing super +# had no effect. Dash was coming up fine still, but it was completely stuck in this mode until it was restarted.

Can you provide a more detailed and step by step description? Which application do you have in the launcher that accepts text files? Which one is the one that got stucked?

I dragged a text file onto Sublime Text 2, and that is the same one it got
stuck on, after putting it into this scale-like mode. The app received the
file and opened it, but Unity did not go back to non-scale mode.
