Bug Description

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg

Sometimes (3 times so far) when working in LibreOffice 3.3.2 OOO330m19 (Build:202) tag libreoffice-3.3.2.2, Ubuntu package 1:3.3.2-1ubuntu5, Xorg crashes and I'm returned to the GDM login screen. I've attached 3 xorg log files with some crash information in them.

I am using a CK kernel here but I can reproduce it on the standard 2.6.38 Ubuntu kernel as well.

same here, simple reproducible when zooming fast with the lower right slider in a libreoffice drawing.
I use natty-amd64 with intel onboard graphics.
My session type is unity-2d from daily ppa.

This happens to me also on a Lenovo (T410 though) with Intel graphics. Fritz, your trick works to reproduce it (zooming in and out quickly in libreoffice drawing). I also get the crash in libreoffice calc when scrolling up and down on a 2MB .xls file. I also had it happen while composing an email in thunderbird.

I've been using this natty install for about a month and have never had this issue until today... and now it's happening constantly. It may be a coincidence, but earlier today I installed compizconfig-settings-manager in order to disable the "grid" feature (aka "aero snap").

Hey mathias-buren,

You filed this bug report against natty, but I see it's still open and
doesn't appear to have much activity recently. So, now that oneiric
is released and stable, this may be a good point for you to upgrade
and re-test if this issue is still present there.

If it's solved in the new release and you think it's worth backporting
the fix, please indicate that. Or if having the fix in the new release
is good enough, feel free to close out the bug (or let us know and we'll
close it.)

If it's not solved, leave the bug report open. I can't promise we'll
get to it (we get way more bugs filed than we can usually get to), but
your testing and feedback can help out if and when we do.

I've Oneric Kubuntu and have five crashes today when zooming in LO Draw.

I would say that the bug is still not fixed.

Intel video card here.

It seems not to happen with every intel driver (tried 3 different).
