Bug Description

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-input-mouse

The mouse can't click on any items in an about 60px bound on the left screen. If there's a link in the browser it doesn't change the cursor to be a pointer hand, and if I open any applications, like putty on top, and I want to click on a menu item on the left side, I can't until I move that item out of the "dead" zone:) Seemingly it works on the other external screen.

Chris Halse Rogers (raof) wrote :

What appears to be happening is that some app has put an invisible (InputOnly) window over the top of your other windows, and then told the window manager to not touch it (OverrideRedirect).

This would seem to be neither really a bug in X, nor a bug in the window manager; both are doing what the application is asking. Of course, since whatever application has put that window there hasn't set any of the normal hints you could use to work out what process it's from, it'll be difficult to work out where a bug should be filed!

Thx, then you can close it. I can't find what was that sw that opened the window there. I'll see after a restart.
