Bug Description

Binary package hint: quarry

having set gnugo --mode gtp --quiet in preferences as per quarry's manual's instructions and set to play computer, when i clicked 'play' the screen went blank. Presumably it crashed. Tried again and found that the preferences were not saved and had to put: gnugo --mode gtp --quiet again in the box, with the same result.

I can't reproduce crash in go game with Ubuntu 7.10 (gnugo 3.7.10). GnuGo GTP engine was registered acoording to http://download.gna.org/quarry/help/en/quarry.html .
