I also have this problem on gentoo midori 0.3.6. If you thought this would be sufficient to debug, it is not. If you didn't have time ... we're all strapped for time, and will get to it. However, we should all strive to differentiate between midori and webkit-gtk bugs. This bug doesn't bother me though, since I am using mutt for reading emails, and will instead focus on others, for now ...

I just tried it and it worked fine at first, but then it stopped working. I cleared my cookies and revisited hotmail.com and it worked fine again.
Unfortunately, I can't reproduce it anymore.
(Now it works fine every time.)

Also have this problem, using Linux Mint Debian XFCE , Midori 0.4.3.I tried a few times, kept getting kicked back to the login screen instead of logging in. Finally managed to get in, but when i tried to go to my inbox I was again booted back to the login screen. :S Will have to switch back to firefox for now as I don't use a dedicated mail app.

It happens to me with Midori 0.4.6, on a clean elementary OS Beta install.
It's also worth noting that it's not just Hotmail, but any site that uses Microsoft log in, that won't work.

I'm experiencing the same behavior in a clean elementaryOS Luna beta1 installation. I've tried to login using a "Private browsing" tab also, but it just keeps redirecting me to the login page.. :-(

i, too, have this problem - altho im using midori 0.4.6 atm...

fyi - my system is gentoo (mostly generic, 3.7.10), both gnome and
xfce desktops (if that matters)...

this problem also happens with epiphany 2.30.6, if that helps...
however, aurora,= 17.0.3 handles hotmail/live.com logins fine...

id be willing to test out possible fixes or ideas if thatd help...

the only thing that occurs to me (from browsing similar issues)
is that there might be a problem with the constant redirects
that m$ is using to perform the login-process (and send/retrieve
the appropriate cookies?) - so maybe some part of the 'chain' is
dropped and so it tries the login-screen again...

in particular, a symptom i noticed is that if i type in a BAD password,
then it (the login screen) returns the failed-login-attempt just fine...
however, when a GOOD password is passed - it seems like it is just
about to be sent to the correct page (outlook.com or whatever) but
then the original-login-screen pops back up as if nothing happened...

idk - i just thought some more info from my observations might help...
thanx for reading this (if you did)... sincerely, h.felton

Elementary OS Luna Beta 2 -

Facing the same problem. Just did a clean install and couldn't login to hotmail using Midori. Tried to clean cache and all but didn't help.

When I try to login it just keeps sending me back to Hotmail.com and not the mail inbox without giving me any errors.

I'm still having this problem on Elementary Luna 0.2. Why is this bug marked Invalid when it has been marked by 12 people and still unresolved?

"Identify as" option has been changed to every possible browser.
