Bug Description
after installing ubuntu 10.10 on a flash drive with 3.2 GB space for user modifications(
terminal: sudo apt-get update
went into synaptics and updated all of the marked packages to their last version.
this is when i got the error and now software center will not work anymore.
i can reproduce this error.
