Bug Description
Binary package hint: libpam-modules
Although I deleted /etc/motd.tail, a recent upgrade using aptitude recreated it (presumably some package's post-install script created it). This is annoying because its contents is as follows:
$ cat /etc/motd.tail
Ubuntu 10.04.2 LTS
Welcome to Ubuntu!
* Documentation: https:/
This is a duplicate of information printed by the scripts in /etc/update-
Linux eventbookingonline 2.6.32.16-linode28 #1 SMP [...snip...]
Ubuntu 10.04.2 LTS
Welcome to Ubuntu!
* Documentation: https:/
Ubuntu 10.04.2 LTS

Last login: [...snip...]
Surely this is wrong: as I understand it, /etc/motd.tail is supposed to be for static content added by the local system-
