What OS are you running? Do you have a ~/.local/share/beatbox/beatbox_db.db file? How are you importing your music? Could you run a backtrace?

I've import it by clicking the import button , never happen in the previous builds

Excerpts from terminal before it got stuck at importing

TagLib: String::prepare() - Unicode conversion error.
TagLib: String::prepare() - Unicode conversion error.
TagLib: String::prepare() - Unicode conversion error.
TagLib: MP4: Unexpected atom "NTKB", expecting "data"

Stuck means , it does not finishes the import and hangs there

It looks like it is having trouble importing an mp4 file. I know that this is Apple's proprietary format, maybe gstreamer cannot read it. If you have only a few .mp4 files you can try removing those and then seeing if it is successful, to narrow down the bug.

Thats weird , i try this in a newly installed Linux Mint 11 + Gnome 3 and it works like magic , but not my Ubuntu 11.04

How could I fix this ?

I have no idea, my guess is that something outside of BeatBox was messed up and causing the problem.

I myself started getting this error as well when I deleted my DB for testing purposes. I went ahead and fixed the bug, so will not happen anymore.
