Bug Description

Binary package hint: man-db

I was trying to install 'tuxguitar'. I got an error message when I tried to install it, was directed to a forum discussing how to fix this problem, which involved the following terminal commands; 'sudo apt-get remove', 'sudo apt-get update' and 'sudo apt-get upgrade'. The last command gave another error message:

E: Could not get lock /var/lib/dpkg/lock - open (11: Resource temporarily unavailable)
E: Unable to lock the administration directory (/var/lib/dpkg/), is another process using it?

I looked up how to fix this, which involved going onto the 'System Monitor' and killing all processes which included 'aptget' and 'dpkg'. So I did this, retried the process, which seemed to work. Then it told me I have this problem, and I don't even know what this problem is.

I hope I included relevant details here, I'm new to Ubuntu
