Oh, I should add this: the joystick I'm using is a standard USB stick. Model: Logitech Extreme 3D Pro. If it matters, this happens when I'm playing FlightGear.

FlightGear is supposed to tell the screensaver not to activate. Reassigning bug to flightgear package.

affects: gnome-screensaver (Ubuntu) → flightgear (Ubuntu)

Fixed in upstream 2.99 (packages available at https://launchpad.net/~saiarcot895/+archive/flightgear-edge , but please note that this is a development version and hence likely to contain other bugs).
