I often use my laptop with the lid closed, by SSHing in and having the application windows displaying on the 23-inch monitor of my PC. Now with Oneiric a problem occured. All the sophisticated, fine-grained configuration tools were thrown away in favor of the much more simplified apps in the new GNOME System Settings (I successfully defended system-
