Ambiguous error message when not enough space left on device

When there is not enough space left on the device Pony fails to download the episode as it should, but the error message is generic and does not inform the user of the issue.

It is Android's responsibility to tell you that there isn't enough space left on your SD card and, IMO, it does so by displaying an icon in the notification bar.

Paul, can we detect if this happens? I think BeyondPod does.

The generic error you got was the "Sorry, there was an error during download" notification was it? I'll get pony to check free space and report more clearly.

Just committed a fix to this in revision 97d8e0b2 on gitorious.

Pony now checks the available space when starting the download screen. If the space is < 100MB then pony informs the user that space may be an issue. If the user continues and the space runs out then pony will still report the generic error, but hopefully the user will realise it is a space issue as they were warned before the download started.
