Bug Description

I have already installed Ubuntu 11.10 i386 desktop edition and after that I want to access to the freenode using xChat.

I have opened a terminal and I typed

~$ sudo apt-get install xchat
~$ xchat &

It seems that xChat had some problem interacting with unity panel and destroys the unity session, the X session and launches a log out applet.

After that, Unity session is completely destroyed.

Guillem,

Can you reproduce this issue anymore? Support for 11.10 is ending soon and I cannot repro on 12.04 or 13.04.
