Notify-osd bubbles disappear quickly

Bug Description

for some weird reason notify-osd bubbles only show for a portion of a second. They flash really fast and are gone.

I have never had this problem. Can you reproduce the bug?

I think this may be unique to your install (something with notify is messed up)

OK, my Ubuntu was fairly messed up, so I did a reinstall and haven't patched the notifications yet but they work fine at the moment.

I'm going to say this had something to do with a messed up install. I also did a clean install and no longer encounter the issue.
