Ubiquity crash with RAID 0 array - grub could not install

Installing Linux Mint 11 to the RAID 0 array partition failed with installer crash. First grub failed to install, then the installer reported a crash.

I'm also unable to close the "Installer crashed" window by pressing the "Close" button.
