Bug Description
Binary package hint: unity
I'm barely learning about unity so I'm grabbing at straws here, but with the Oneiric alpha1 i386 iso-testing image my Intel i945 is defaulting to 2d, but prior to this (in Natty and a prior Oneiric test build) it's always defaulted to 3d.
And 2d has an unrelated problem, bug 791080, but I was able to complete live testing and one install by hitting Alt+SysReq+K , logging in as ubuntu, selecting session "Ubuntu", and entering no password.
Sorry for the obvious ineptitude when it comes to unity.

unity-2d (3.8.6-0ubuntu2) oneiric; urgency=low
* debian/ unity-2d. postinst, debian/ unity-2d. postrm:
- remove the magic to set unity-2d in oneiric as the default session in gdm
as it's now installed on the ubuntu CD.
