Bug Description
Binary package hint: ubiquity
On my laptop I have a running Edgy Eft on a 32 Gb ext 3 partition and a 4 Gb ext 3 with an old and unused edgy eft. I wanter to try Herd 2 on the 4 Gb after a resize.
Launch the Herd2 install, I have arrived for first time at partitioning and have chosen manual. Then resized one partition (32-->28) deleted another of 4 Gb and build a new one of around 8 Gb. Aftrer installer told me that I have one of 28 and one of 4. I do not trust, so stop installation, reboot. The working edgy told me about some problems during the chkdsk, i ignore them and go into X and the sessions started normally. In this session I have runnen GParted, partition are the way I wanted to but the 8Gb has to be formatted, so I did it and everything is ok.
Then I reboot from Herd Cd, run Install and at step 6 out of 7, the one which is running the partitioner, there is a crash and this is the report:

In addition the crash report told me to attach /var/log/syslog and /var/log/partman, which I'll do next.
