lxlauncher doesn't start in Lubuntu 11.04

I can't start lxlauncher in Lubuntu 11.04. Nothing happens when I run "lxlauncher" command, no error is showed.

That 2010-12-03 date does not look correct to me.

Can you please confirm that this is the official Lubuntu 11.04 i386 ISO?

lxlauncher works (runs, anyway!) for me when I type

  lxlauncher &

in a shell in LXterminal, in Lubuntu 11.04 here.

If there is anything unusual about your machine or configuration that might be related to this failure, please provide full details.

When I run "lxlauncher &" in terminal, I only get:

$ Loaded /etc/xdg/lxlauncher/settings.conf

and then nothing happens.

I downloaded the ISO torrent in Lubuntu wiki, I check it checksum, it's ok"

$ md5sum lubuntu-11.04.iso
76e5865ce8d0d08fa9f833d781016fe3 lubuntu-11.04.iso

My Lubuntu works very well, nothing is unusual, I'm very happy with it now :).

Ah, I forgot, there is another problem with my Lubuntu, lxshortcut doesn't work also, nothing happens when I run it in terminal. I think I should try to download a new ISO and make a test in virtualbox.

That sounds like the right ISO file, and since the md5sum matches, there should be no need to download it again.

That md5sum is the same as the sum on my copy of lubuntu-11.04.iso -- so it is correct :)

I tested in virtualbox myself, so lxlauncher "works for me" in that environment.

If it does not work on your real hardware, but does work for you in virtualbox, then maybe the real issue is some kind of X driver issue for your video chipset??

I'll leave the status at "Incomplete" until you let us know the results of your test in virtualbox. It might also be good to provide some details of your (real, physical) video card, too.

Hi Jonathan,

I've tried Lubuntu in LiveCD mode and lxlauncher and lxshortcut work. So the problem is my machine, I've got a big collection of applications in it, maybe there is something wrong somewhere, I have no idea.
