Bug Description

SSL wraper for dbmail's pop3 starts with wrong port number (imap):
/etc/init.d/dbmail:
STUNNLOPT="-D 6 -p $PEMFILE -S 0 -a /etc/ssl/certs -t 300 -r localhost:imap -s dbmail -g dbmail -P /var/run/"
<...>
/usr/sbin/stunnel $STUNNLOPT -d pop3s

(so it connects to dbmail's imap)

Thank you for your bug report.
dbmail's init script changed since 2.2.1-1. Could you please check if this is still relevant?

The version 2.2.1-1 is included in feisty.

To my mind dapper and edgy are still supported (LTS will be supported four more years on the server). I think this bug should be fixed at least in LTS version also.

If you think it can be useful to be accepted in stable relases, you can apply for a SRU.

Thanks for your work on the patch. I have added the patch tag to attract the attention of packagers. I have unsubscribed ubuntu-universe-sponsors, as this patch does not represent a new candidate revision (patch is not a debdiff). If a debdiff is prepared to address this issue, please resubscribe ubuntu-universe-sponsors.

It is not advisable to ask for a backport since it depends on libsieve2-dev (both on Dapper and Edgy):
 -> Considering build-dep libsieve2-dev (>= 2.1.12)
W: Unable to locate package libsieve2-dev
E: No packages found
      Tried versions:
   -> Does not satisfy version, not trying
E: Could not satisfy build-dependency.

Is this an important bug (e.g security vulnerability or regression), which could justify an official update?

What is defination of regression? Should breezy->dapper regressions counted as regressions?

I can't get dbmail from breezy to check for regression.

http://packages.ubuntu.com/breezy/mail/dbmail-mysql

I got 404 accessing [dbmail_1.2.11-1.diff.gz].

Regression happens when newer versions introduce a bug which was not present in older ones.
If this issue prevents from using dbmail correctly for most users, we can arrange an official update.

I'm closing this bug for now since it has been solved in Gutsy.
Please, let us know if it requires an update for stable versions, so we can proceed that way.
Thank you.
