Bug Description

On my Fedora 14 x86_64 box Openshot's preview is so slow it's basically unusable. I can load the program and add clips fine, but as soon as I try to move around on the timeline or play the preview it basically stops responding, sometimes I get a single frame in the preview window but usually it just stays black. The program remains largely unresponsive until I eventually manage to stop the preview playing.

I had previously ran and older version of Openshot on Fedora 12 on the same box, and although it was sometimes a bit slow it worked well and I got a nice little video made from it.

I've these packages installed from rpmfusion:

openshot-1.3.0-3.fc14.noarch
mlt-0.7.0-2.fc14.x86_64

This is a known bug in MLT 0.7.0. I think it's fixed in the current development branch, but you'll have to wait until the next official release of MLT unless you want to build it yourself.

I give the development version of MLT a try tonight, and will report back. Thanks!
