Warn on overdelivery of MO

Steps to reproduce

- open / confirm / start a MO with 10 PCE
- click 'produce' and change qty to 12 PCE (no warning about 'wrong qty')

result: stock move and stock level = 10 PCE

sorry, but kind of frustrating.... This is not what we expected!

so please let us know: how to change produced qty? Through physical inventory?

Hi Atik,

You patch declines overproduction by raising an error message.
That is better than silently discarding overproduction, but it is still _not_ what this ticket intended.

The question was, how to ALLOW overproduction.

Producing more than ordered is common at many industrial manufacturers, especially regarding high quantities, fast turnover or long setting-up times for producing these goods.
That is often decided just-in-time, on-the-fly by foreman or administration, on call or because of gut feelings :)

Hello Steffi,

  Sorry , But Openerp will not ALLOW overproduction,
  For exampel:
   AA product's raw material is A1 = 1 qty.
   A1 qty is 10.
   if User create MO of AA of 10 qty.
   MO is in Production Started State,
   and Produce 15 qty in MO of 10 qty than it create problem.
   how to check Raw Material are avalabel or not .

  Now if user create MO of 10 qty and Try to Produce 12 qty
  it will give Warnig for wrong qty.
