Bug Description

An Adobe Connect Add-in installer package (*deb) for Ubuntu/Debian is available on Adobe website at: http://my.adobe.acrobat.com/common/help/en/support/downloads.htm

I've tried it and it appears to work well. (In fact, I've discovered this as my wife had to attend an on-line conference and had to boot to Windows to do so... Next time, she should be able to stay on Ubuntu with this package)

I know it's non-free software, but since the regular Adobe Flash Player installer package is available in multiverse, why not Adobe Connect?

Fabio: I understand your point... but actually, my report is about something that is not working out of the box (i.e. online conferencing on an Adobe Connect platform) while it easily could, provided that the already existing plug-in package is available in the appropriate repository, like the Adobe Flash plug-in package is.

Remember the motto?: It should just works (while still respecting users choice to not install non-free packages)!

Anyway, I'll follow your suggestion and post on Ubuntu Brainstorm... (is it just my memory playing me tricks or there used to be a "wish" or "feature request" status available on Launchpad?)

OK, here's what I read on the Ubuntu Brainstorm guide: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuDevelopment/NewPackages

Requesting a new package for Ubuntu
[...]
To get a package into Ubuntu, please file a bug in Launchpad and make sure it has the tag needs-packaging. Please mention where to get the source for it and which license it is under. An example request is here. Make sure you check which packages have already been requested.

So, what should I do? Post on Ubuntu Brainstorm anyway or do something here in Launchpad? (I can't find the "needs-packaging" or at best, "needs-including" status!)
